Judge Hall is a member of the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the International Law Association and the International Association of Constitutional Law, and holds associate membership in the American Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the American Society of International Law.
He was created a Knight Bachelor by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2001, and, in 2003, he was made a Knight of the Pontifical Order of St Sylvester by His Holiness, Pope John Paul II. In 2004, he was awarded the Pelican Alumni Peer Award as an outstanding alumnus of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
